そこでこんなことしてみたら
3月１１日の夜。あの時から、ちょうど6時間後の夜８時46分になったら、
部屋のあかりをみんなで一斉に消してみませんか？というお話です。
ううん、ずっとではありません。みんなでいっしょに１時間です。
1時間が難しければ、ほんの数分でもいいんです。
そして、たとえば、キャンドルを灯し、家族や大事な人と会話をしましょう。
犠牲になられたおおく方々に、追悼の祈りを捧げましょう。
失われた大切な命と、かけがえのない思い出が、
わたしたちのなかで再び輝きだすように。
街があかりを失ったあの日、私たちはスイッチを切ることが出来ませんでした。
あかりが戻るまでに数日かかりました。戻ったあかりに安堵と有り難さを感じました。
あれから一年、復興にはまだまだ遠いけど、今度は自分の意志でひとときあかりを消し、
その後あかりがついた時の“当たり前の有り難さ”を感じましょう。
満天の星空は、私たちの“想いの象徴”です。
あの日を経験した私たちだからこそ、わかったことがあります。
“本来見えるのはずなのに見えなくなってしまったものがあることを”
あの日この震災を知り泣いてくれた、祈ってくれた多くの方が世界中にいました。
私たちの思いが、星空を通じて世界中の人々とつながっていけたならと、思います。
生き残った私たちにできる事を、夜空の星に誓いませんか。
それを希望の輝きとして、
被災地から日本中へ、世界へ。そして、未来へ、つなげていきましょう。

Our suggestion
Let’s turn off the light at 20:46 in 11.3 for just one hour.
Please turn off your lights with the people you love. Just see and feel your lovely people beside you remembering the night without any power, TV, cell phone or Nintendo. Then, please look up at the sky…..you will see lots of stars if we all can turn off the lights.
We could not switch off the lights that day. Today we can switch the lights on and off whenever we want, so you can turn it off at your own will. We should let the world know what we realize from our experience.

It is really that simple! Just switch off your lights! This is the project, just turn off your lights at that time and we can send this lasting message for the future.
